Single-anonymous peer review
Editors screen submissions for relevance and completeness. Selected manuscripts are assigned to reviewers. Reviewers know author identities; authors receive anonymized reports and editorial decisions. Confidential reviewer comments are visible only to editors. Editors make the final decision and may request revisions.
Research integrity
Manuscripts must be original, appropriately cited, and approved by all authors. Authors must disclose funding and competing interests, document required ethics approval, and explain data and code availability. Use of generative AI should be disclosed where relevant; authors remain responsible for accuracy and attribution.
Conflicts and confidentiality
Reviewers must disclose conflicts and decline assignments they cannot assess impartially. Unpublished manuscripts and reports must be kept confidential. Reviewer identities are withheld from authors in the journal workflow.
Corrections and concerns
Concerns about published content and requests for correction should be directed to the editorial contact. The publisher will assess concerns, preserve relevant records, and communicate any correction, expression of concern, or retraction.
